Hi to all can anyone tell me about a public house called ( Earl-Russell ) on Gloucester Road Croydon in 1879 a John STEVENS said it was his address when he died in Haiti on 18 June 1879 I have just found it on a will where he left 255 pounds to his spinster sister Elizabeth STEVENS in 1907 he is the brother of my James Francis STEVENS who died only 4 days after John in Haiti they were up there constructing water works I wonder if they got bumped off ? thank you for any help I have googled but with no luck Jean from Perth WA
