Just a point or two .... According to the transcript on Ancestry in 1891, Emma was 37, born 1854, not 1849 as mentioned in previous Emails. The death mentioned for Emma in 1922 on the index has the middle initial "L" which could be a clue as to finding the correct Emma. Could she be using her middle name in 1911? There's a birth at Croydon 1849 of an Emma Louisa Stevens, but is this the correct one? I have had experience of 2nd forenames being non-existent on birth indexes and only appearing on baptism records etc. There's a whole host of Emma Stevens (and Emma Buckleys for that matter) in and around Surrey and Middlesex. So far I have not been able to find a marriage between William Buckley and Emma Stevens. Was the surname Stevens obtained from either Ernest or grace's birth certificates, or deduced from the fact that an Elizabeth Stevens was with her in certain censuses? Kind regards, Jon
