hi all I am having the same problem with my dad born in 1932 he was the third of six children and despite trying all sorts of name variations etc and the local register search we can't find any registration for him very frustrating kas
Thanks to all who replied regarding my posting on the elusive Grahams I have been researching. I think I have posted details on them before, I am researching Thomas Graham, he was 20 years old in the 1901 census and 30 in the 1911 census. He was also 20 when he married in 1899. He said he was born in Bermondsey, and I have found a Thomas in the 1891 census, parents John and Catherine. I have searched other Thomas Graham records and eliminated them, I can find no record of the parents marriage, or any registrations of their children. I don't think Catherine was a widow, they are together in the 1881 census, Thomas appears to have been their first child, born after the census. John's parents were from Ireland, they had all their children baptized, one in Ireland in a Catholic church, others in London in C of E churches. Its a muddle. Carole Brett
