    3. Hi, John Stupidly I didn't save the page from Family Search and do you think I can locate it again? Of course not. I had just copied the information down. So I can't tell you what I did. Then I had switched to Google and typed in "Lazarus Pavey London" just to see what would come up. I got an Ancestry page with "in association with the L.M.A." on it, and "London Non-Conformist Registers " writ large! and underneath "Results for Lazarus Pavey." Under "searching for" in a small box was the information I have given you. This was confusing, as all the information I wanted seemed to be there. We already knew his marriage (though Judy gives it as Holborn and Nivard as Camden, but it is, I'm sure, the same place) , and his death. This was correct. But who/what put in the data on his birth? And it was the same on both sites. Was it just a guess? Judy says the RG4 is searchable on the I.G.I. This should solve the problem - or just present us with another. ( Is it the right birth?) But after a very brief attempt today I have yet to find my way to the RG4 . ( Help!) Daphne

    3. Hi Daphne You haven't actually said what it is you are looking for >From your rather confusing post I suspect its the Baptism for Lazarus PAVEY ? The Burial and marriage are on Ancestry so they are genuine and original (or as original as you get) The non conformist records that you find on newfamilysearch are just an index , you will find them here http://www.bmdregisters.co.uk/ But I saw no sign on there of a Lazarus PAVEY A google search as you describe finds a few hits, one is a John ?? tree which records an about date of 1780 no doubt derived from the 1841 census and burial records You can search the RG4 indexes on newfamilysearch direct but there are no Lazarus PAVEY listed Ancestry have some LMA non conformist records but again no Lazarus PAVEY Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Hi, John > > Stupidly I didn't save the page from Family Search and do you think I can locate it again? 3. Daphne, Like Nivard, I don't know where you found the online reference to the birth of Lazarus PAVEY, so I can't help directly with that. There were a number of PAVEY children baptised at the Independent Chapel in Heather Street, Kingston upon Thames, who *may* be Lazarus' siblings. The parents are recorded as John and Am(e)y PAVEY. There were also a couple of children baptised to (probably) the same parents in Chelsea, Middlesex. The original records are held at the National Archives, Kew, and are digitised on the paysite BMDregisters.co.uk (RG 4/2061, 2125, 2211 and 3104). They are also indexed on the updated FamilySearch site (e.g. search for Elizabeth Minor PAVEY born 1785). But, as has been said, there is no sign of Lazarus. Your problem may be that the surviving records for this church run from 1776-1836 only, and may not be complete. So if Lazarus was baptised at this Kingston church earlier than 1776, you're unlikely to find it documented. But if you can move towards proving that one of these other PAVEYs was Lazarus' sibling, you would be moving in the right direction. You could try tracing these other PAVEYs forwards, if you can, and look for a connection, perhaps in a marriage record or other document. Is there by some lucky chance a will that might mention family members?
