Which "anti-virus" software do you use? (My computer is well protected) I have no problem accessing the site and enjoyed the quick visit I made to newspaperdetectives.co.uk Veronica -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Fionnghal Sent: Wednesday, 31 August, 2011 10:35 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [SRY] SRY etc. Newpaper clippings hi Nivard, I'd like to think it is a safe site, as i, like many researchers, love news clip web pages, however, i tried the site www.newspaperdetectives.co.uk/ again and once again the screen filled with a warning. i then googled 'newspaperdetectives' and up came three returns, all with WOT's traffic light warnings I then looked the page up on WOT's website and came up with their grading. Though doing well in the trusworthy department, it seems it has flagged up red on vendor reliability. I'm not sure why that is. Some folk must have felt they'd got their fingers burnt and downmarked it. I have to say I've found WOT very reliable however, I appreciate that maybe for some reason a site could have been graded wrongly. Nothing is perfect. I'm not sure if non-members can read this scorecard, but this is what it says about the newspaperdetectives site: http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/newspaperdetectives.co.uk I'm sure there is a facility fr site owners to question the grading particularly as a lot of folk use WOT and word of iffy sites has a habit of getting out. One'd want to stamp on that early if a mistake had been made over ones site. happy digging le durachd Fionnghal --- On Wed, 31/8/11, Nivard Ovington <[email protected]> wrote: > Not sure what your WOT defences are but they appear to be > giving you a false reading *************************************** Send your List messages using **PLAIN TEXT** and always **TRIM AWAY** superfluous old messages in replies.
