Hi, I am still trying to sort out my husband's FREEMAN family >From a letter dated August 1872 when Thomas Freeman is writing to John Freeman (London to Victoria, Aust) he states - you ask about Uncle William I never knew him but I have seen his tombstone in Oxted churchyard. I assumed it was William FREEMAN but it could be William HAINES. I am wondering if anyone lives near this church and would be able to see if there is a headstone and ANY information on it.
