Hi Kerry Seeing your further posts reminded me that my earlier response seems to have been lost in the ether so I'll try again, repeating my earlier message: The Egham parish registers show an Elizabeth Watts baptised on 23 Nov 1806 (born 31 Oct), the daughter of Thomas Moreton and Charlotte. I presume from this that Elizabeth was illegitimate but the father admitted his responsibility. I also found Lydia Watts baptised in Egham on 6 Sep 1807 (born 25 Jul), daughter William and the late Phoebe [there was a burial for a Phoebe Watts on 22 Aug 1807] It seems that William and Phoebe had had several children, one of whom was Charlotte, baptised on 30 Sep 1787 (born 2 Sep). I did wonder whether Elizabeth was thus Lydia's niece rather than sister but perhaps had been later shown as a daughter of William an Phoebe to avoid the embarrassment which such things brought about in those days. Regards John
