I noticed in my research for a Lydia WATTS that I followed through the various census that by the time of the 1871 census she was living in Stewarts Almshouses and having found a link to them on the Internet, I have sent an email off to them just on the off chance that they may still have records. I know it is a long shot, but as they say "nothing ventured, nothing gained" and it is always worth exploring every avenue available to us as family researchers.
