Here goes: I have just found out that my Thomas Docker chr. 1804 in Mid Town, Newby, Westmorland, had these sisters, which I wondered if you would look up in your l851 census to see if children existed for them. My notes say that they each had issue. Elizabeth Docker b l796 in Bampton, d in l884 in Bampton. She m. ROBERT HOGARTH. Margaret Docker was christened on 30 JAN l807 in Bampton and m THOMAS CAMPLIN (who was b in l796, and d l884). They m. in l836. Agnes Docker, christened on l4 DEC 1814 in Bampton, Westmorland m 20 APR 1843 in Bampton to DAVID KIRKBRIDE of Bampton Hall. Can you find children for any of these couples? Thomas Docker, my ancestor was christened on 25 DEC 1804 and m. Elizabeth Smith, who I hope is the dau. of John and Margaret Smith of Kings Meaburn. He was buried 23 AUG 1854. What is "Mid Town"? Thomas was b in Mid Town, Newby, which he inherited. Thomas had brothers, but I don't know if they had issue or married. John Docker, chr. l794 d l849 Robert b l798 Would there be a library in this area which might hold some DOCKER genealogy? I have some pages copied from the l9l7 book by Lissant. Wondered how I could find out if there were others that exist, expecially for the Thomas Docker branch. I don't know the name of the libraries in this county, or their addresses. would you have that kind of info? Connie Beck
