Any help on the following would be greatly appreciated. Below is an abbreviated record of direct family. Unfortunately, the matrilineal line is a nightmare and therefore missing! I do not have access to Birmingham records as I live in Devon. If any of the information here rings any bells, please let me know. Any help on these ladies' families would be greatly appreciated, as follows: John and Sarah (Parkes?) Wakelam (late 18th, early 19th century). GGGG grandfather/mother. 5 children. Info required on John and Sarah. . Joseph (son of above) and Elizabeth Yates. Married 1827. Edgbaston, Birmingham. GGG grandfather/mother. 11 children. Info required on Elizabeth Yates. George (son of above) and Emma Powney married 1867 Birmingham. GG-grandfather/mother.12 children. Info required on Emma Powney. Arthur (son of above) married Emma Cartwright 1903. G-grandfather/mother.3 children. Info required on Emma Cartwright. George (son of above) married Beatrice Emily Sparkes 1930. These were my grandparents.Info required on Sparkes family only, not my grandmother, as I obviously knew her! With the kind help of someone who has carried out an extensive search on the patrilineal side of the family, I have been able to collate much info and add it to my own.
