Janice Wood, Maybe you can help me, I am searching for living male BEALL descendants in the UK, to participate in Y-chromosome DNA project for the surname BEALL. We have already established a Maryland, USA haplotype (DNA signature) and it will be tied to Scotland and other parts of the UK. The reason we need UK BEALL descendants is to help determine relationships & origins across the Atlantic! If we find DNA matches and the UK individuals have recorded genealogy to early periods of the UK, all participating in the research will benefit. Nothing is better proof than surname DNA tied to historical & genealogical records. Not to lose our BEALL women in this research, we encourage women to enlist their fathers, sons, grandfathers, uncles, cousins with the Surname of BEALL or versions of that surname so that they can profit from the Y-chromosome male research which parallels the surname descent through generations, father to son in each generation. We are shooting for a target date of 500 years for earliest ancestor & origins in the research. We have reached some time periods in the 1500s already! WE need BEAL, BEALL, BEALS, BEALLE, BEALE participants and any other version of the surname. You can visit my web pages starting with: http://hometown.aol.com/bealsurnamedna/index.html and link to many of my pages: why I started, results and Thumbnail migration patterns, what's new and many other links to DNA surname research. Testing can be done at US or English laboratories. Don't give up on reaching my site, try again, I already have had thousands of visitors and it might be busy. Regards, Chuck, Charles E.
