    3. I have been searching for a Harriet HENSON nee KIPPEN for years. " My " Harriet Henson m. Alfred Henry HENSON when? where? They had a son Alfred George HENSON , my Ggrandfather in 1831 in Kent. I and many other SKSs have searched in Kent for more info unsuccessfully. By chance I found Alfred George in Scotland where he got married in Edinburgh in 1861 . He and Isabella nee MELVILLE had 4 children in different parts of Scotland beginning with another Harriet HENSON in 1862. One researcher suggested that Alfred Henry HENSON might have been in the military or militia and thus was posted to Scotland as were some regiments from Kent. I'm too far away to search for these records unfortunately. On his marriage cert. it stated that his father was deceased and gave his mothers name..Harriet KIPPEN. The family moved to South Shields where 3 more children were born including my grandfather, Henry , their youngest in 1880. One of his daughters was another Harriet ! I just found a marriage on the Free BMD of Alfred George jun. who married in Gateshead in 1884. First glimmer in a long while. What do you know about "your" Harriet? I sure hope there is a link somewhere. I too live in Canada now and my grandfather served in France in WW1 with the Canadian Expeditionary forces after jumping ship . It sure is a small world :-) Cheers, Dorothy nee HENSON in Qualicum Beach ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beverly" <bevy38@shaw.ca> To: <ENG-SURNAMES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, July 23, 2002 6:44 PM Subject: [ENG-SURNAMES] HUNTER, HENSEN, BURNS > I am looking for the children of Henry/Harry Hunter and Harriet Henson. > Children were born in Ramsgate, Kent between 1882 and 1894.
