Colin..... I dont supppose you have any LODGE's in your WHEATLEY line do you? The name WHEATLEY has cropped as the middle name a few times of a family line I am researching, I have 'presumed' that maybe it came from the Surname of one of the lines that joined the family. The line it comes from appear the be from around the Yorkshire/Cornwall/Penzance areas. Francis Wheatley LODGE was a Captain in Penzance aparently. Cheers !
