Hello Fellow Listers: I just came across a photograph of a distant relative by the name of LILY FRANKLIN. She was born c. 1886. All I know about her is that she had a sister IVY, and that her parents were ALFRED FRANKLIN and ALICE PARKER FRANKLIN. They lived in Birmingham, but I do not know the specific area. Alice was a sister of my greatgrandmother, and Alice was born c. 1866/1867. Is there someone out there that has this family on their tree? Or is there sks who could look them up on the 1891 census? Thank you all Ann from NYC

Dear Listers, I'm helping a friend trace two brothers, Walter and George VAUGHAN, both plasterers, born in Ellesmere, Shropshire in the 1850s. (Probable baptisms shown on the IGI, parents: Mary and Thomas) In 1881, Walter is in Aston, Warwick and George is temporarily in Oldham, Lancashire. In 1891, both families are in Aston. We'd love to hear from anyone with ties. Thank you! Joan Nova Scotia, Canada

Hello, I just realized that a lot of my Broadway ancestors came from Motcombe, Dorset and nearby (Shaftesbury, Gillingham, and Sherborne). If anyone is related or has information on the Broadway family(ies) in this part of Dorset, please let me know. Thanks so much. Donna ***************************************************** Donna L. Hi List, My Silkworth ancestor shows up in Ulster County, New York about 1740, having apparently dropped from the blue as there is nothing I have been able to find on the family in England. There are a few, 30 or so in the IGI, but no connections. Does anyone know how this name came to be? It's sure not common. If anyone has a suggestion for pursueing it in England, I'd love to hear it. And I've been told that uncommon names are easier - dream on! Phyllis
