    1. [ENG-SURNAMES] Website's complete & I can do look-ups in 1880 US census. Read Carefully!
    2. Hello everyone! My website finally has my family info on it. Just click on the surnames there and you will be taken to the proper page. Also, I added many many more links, and guess what. They're organized! http://members.aol.com/ella12866/index.html I'm willing to do look ups in the 1880 US census. In order to be able to answer everyone's requests in a timely and organized manner, please follow these guidelines. Otherwise I may not be able to handle your request. First and foremost, email me privately off of the list with "1880 Census Look-up" in the subject of your email if you don't want my response posted to the list. Particularly since I click on the reply button out of habit. Unless the name is very uncommon, please supply the following.. 1. A first and last name. In other words, "Please give me all the SMITHs in New York" is something I can't help you with. 2. The state that the person was born in. 3. The state and possibly the city where the person would have been enumerated in 1880. In other words, "Please look up all John SMITHs. I don't know what state you would find him in." is something else I can't help you with. 3. An approximate year of birth. The more precise the better. The census index allows for up to a 5 year difference. Good luck, Ella Surnames I am researching are: COLEMAN, HARLING and EAVES from Lancashire, England to Phila.,PA KIRCHER, WEIKEL and RITTER/RUTTER from Germany BAIRD and JORDAN from Ireland CRISTALDI from Italy Any variations? That's ok. I've seen a few. Other names in my family are... CRUMLEY, HARVEY, MARKER, STEIN, STOLLEY, TITTERMARY... I piece together the past so my children won't be as confused as I am.

    1. [ENG-SURNAMES] COLEMAN/KILPATRICK from Ireland to Liverpool in 1866-1870
    2. Hello all, James'(b.a.1880)father was James COLEMAN(b.a.1840). He is rumored to have died at sea when my g grandfather was very young. So after going from his mother to his grandmother, he ended up in a orphanage when they couldn't take care of him anymore. Now I do have a possible James COLEMAN who was 8 months old in the 1881 census. I also have a copy of his birth certificate. I'm not sure if he is my James though since I have other copies of documents that give the years of birth as around 1881-1883 which means he wouldn't be found until the 1891 census. Here is the possible family according to the 1881 census... 102 Tatlock Street in Liverpool James COLEMAN self 46 w painter born in Ireland Anne wife 37 born in Ireland (Her maiden name was KILPATRICK) Alice daughter 17 born in Ireland John son errand boy 15 born in Ireland Bridget daughter 11 born in Liverpool Annie daughter 6 born in Liverpool Mary daughter 4 born in Liverpool Catherine daughter 2 born in Liverpool James son 8 months born in Liverpool This family is no longer at the address in the 1891 census. Might anyone have any connection and info to this family? I'd love to find out if it is indeed my g grandfather's family. Take care, Ella

    1. [ENG-SURNAMES] COLEMAN, HARLING and EAVES/EYVES from Lancashire
    2. Hello all, My father's whole paternal side came to the US from ENGLAND 1910 not too long after the birth of my grandfather John COLEMAN(1909). His parents were James COLEMAN(1880-83) and Fanny HARLING(1885). Fanny's parents were John HARLING(1864) and Annie EAVES(1863). Annie's parents were John EAVES and Anna. My EAVES are traced back to 1445 thanks to cousin David EAVES My g grandfather James COLEMAN was raised in an orphanage since his father James COLEMAN(b.a.1840) died when he was very young and his mother and grandmother could not take care of him. He and 4 other boys were taken out of the orphanage to work in the home of either an EAVES or a HARLING. There he met Fanny and they married in 1906. James enlisted in Canada to fight with England in WW1. His Attestation Papers state that he was born in Liverpool in 1880. If you would like to check out the direct link to my COLEMAN, HARLING and EAVES pics and then link to further info... <A HREF="http://members.aol.com/ella12866/page2.html">From Lancashire, England to Phila., PA.</A> or http://members.aol.com/ella12866/page2.html If you think there might be a connection or you have some info on my family please contact me. Take care, Ella
