    3. Hello Bev, You mentioned that you were researching Lillian Hunter who married Willard Joseph Kennedy and moved to Canada, where he served in the Expeditionary forces in WWI. I'm not sure if you know this, but you can access Cdn. military records for WWI through a searchable database at: www.archives.ca . I recently got my grandfather's records and they provide quite a bit of information, including the addresses where they would send his service pay while overseas, presumably to his wife or next of kin. This would provide addresses where Lillian was living while he was away. Perhaps you may already have this information, but it never hurts to remind people that it's available. I did a quick search of the archives database and there are 4 possibles with the name Willard and Kennedy, two of which are unlikely. There are two Willard Kennedys (no middle names provided). One is regimental number 90229, the other is 3105640. If you know his service number, you can apply to get the records fo! r a cost of $40 maximum. The information on ordering the records is online as well. 3. I have been searching for a Harriet HENSON nee KIPPEN for years. " My " Harriet Henson m. Alfred Henry HENSON when? where? They had a son Alfred George HENSON , my Ggrandfather in 1831 in Kent. I and many other SKSs have searched in Kent for more info unsuccessfully. By chance I found Alfred George in Scotland where he got married in Edinburgh in 1861 . He and Isabella nee MELVILLE had 4 children in different parts of Scotland beginning with another Harriet HENSON in 1862. One researcher suggested that Alfred Henry HENSON might have been in the military or militia and thus was posted to Scotland as were some regiments from Kent. I'm too far away to search for these records unfortunately. On his marriage cert. it stated that his father was deceased and gave his mothers name..Harriet KIPPEN. The family moved to South Shields where 3 more children were born including my grandfather, Henry , their youngest in 1880. One of his daughters was another Harriet ! I just found a marriage on the Free BMD of Alfred George jun. who married in Gateshead in 1884. First glimmer in a long while. What do you know about "your" Harriet? I sure hope there is a link somewhere. I too live in Canada now and my grandfather served in France in WW1 with the Canadian Expeditionary forces after jumping ship . It sure is a small world :-) Cheers, Dorothy nee HENSON in Qualicum Beach ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beverly" <bevy38@shaw.ca> To: <ENG-SURNAMES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, July 23, 2002 6:44 PM Subject: [ENG-SURNAMES] HUNTER, HENSEN, BURNS > I am looking for the children of Henry/Harry Hunter and Harriet Henson. > Children were born in Ramsgate, Kent between 1882 and 1894. 2. Jane M Kelley
    3. Searching for Thomas HYLDRETH later spelling Hildreth who died in Southampton, Suffolk County, NY in 1657. There are several dates used for him on the net, most from Gainford which cannot be documented. In fact, there is one more male with the name buried there than christened there! There is also a reference to one Thos. HYLDRETH, father of an illegitmate child in 1633 without any trace of the same spelling for the adult male. This child lived only a few days and was buried in Gainford. The Hildreth name had migrated from NE England to several other areas of England by the early 1600s, London among them. Any information will be most appreciated and any others engaged in a similar search will be welcomed to reply. 2. Hi all, I'm so sorry if I haven't answered you're look up request yet, the requests are numerous. Plus, life has been a little hectic to say the least, and, we're leaving on a vacation for a few days. We'll be back by the weekend. then I have to work, so it may be even longer before I can get back to you. I promise to do my very best to find the person/s that you're looking for. I have done that for everyone so far, and that is also why it has taken me quite some time to get to everyone. Many people did not have much info for me to go by or had a few states and or names for me to look into and I've had to dig deep to find those that some were looking for. I hope to get back to you with your info very soon. Please do not respond to this email!! I am not excepting any new requests till after next Monday. I need a chance to catch up with what I have to this point and that may take a while. Thank you for understanding, Ella
