Is anyone doing a one-name study on the name Wright? I have been looking for an Edward Bertram Wright and any ancestors or descendants for several years. One problem is that Edward wasn't born until 1915 or possibly a few years earlier, so there isn't a census to help me out for several years to come. Another being the name Bertram which he is reputed to have not used because he disliked it. I have done most of the usual searches other than death, coming up with only one possibility, an Edward Bertie, born in Essex. My best hope seems to be someone else who is doing research on the surname, or if anyone out there can think of any records other than vital records that might turn him up. My other problem is that I don't know where Edward was born or lived except for spending a short time in Ipswich, Suffolk, or possibly London in the 30's. Any thought on different methods of search would be appreciated. I am willing to share what Wright data I have collected with anyone interested in the name. Yvonne

Looking for information or descendants of my HANSON family. My great great grandfather Edward HANSON was born in 1843 or 1844 in Shoreditch Middlesex. I have not proven for sue yet but am pretty sure he was the son of John and Isabella MACKASKIE HANSON. Edward married a Margaret PRESCOTT the daughter of Richard and Ann DANIELS PRESCOTT. Margaret was born in 1846 in Leigh Lancashire. Edward served in the military from 1861 to 1876. He was in the 5th Regiment of Foot and then transferred to the 25th Regiment of Foot. Edward and Margaret had several children They were as follows. John born in Colombo Ceylon in 1868. Julia born in Barielly East Indies in 1870. Clara born in Aden Camp Col AS in 1876. George born in Hornsey middlesex in 1878. Charles born in Hoxton Middlesex in 1880. Herbert or Robert born in 1884 in England and Richard born in 1887 in England. I believe that they may have had other children as well but have yet to find their names. Edward passed away in 1899 in the Chelsea Workhouse Infirmary in 1899. At this time I have found that the family was living at 6 Marlborough Place in Chelsea. At the time of his death he was listed as a carman and a pensioner. In 1899 Margaret came to Maine in the USA, she brought sons Richard and Herbert or Robert with her. She came to the USA to help her son John with his children as his wife had passed away. In 1902 she remarried to an Ernest Gilmore. They lived in Guilford Maine and then later in North Andover MAssachuesetts. From there I have no idea what happened to her if she stayed in the USA or returned to England. Leslie Hanson Freeman

Most viruses are designed to hit outlook express mail ,I have not used outlook now for 8 months or so because of the problems with viruses I use one called Calypso it works like outlook but have no virus problems here now ,you can download it for free at this address http://download.mcsdallas.com/binaries/calypso/calypso.exe and please be sure to update your virus software every few days Cheers John H Green List Dad john@jhgreen.net
