John - You have two possibilities: Gordon Beavington in Kelowna, British Columbia, has scanned the 1851 Potteries census on to 4 CDs (for £15 sterling), and the whole of Staffordshire on to 9 CDs (£24 sterling). These are available now, but so far as I can work out, you need to open each page, which is a separate file, individually. Alternatively, you can wait until S & N Archive Data Ltd bring out their version, which will be a lot more expensive, but will allow you to move from one page of the enumerators' books to the next without the fiddle of closing it each time. The Beavington version is not indexed, so you may have a long job hunting down William and Henry Osborne. I am searching for a William Osborne b 1844 in Somerset and his Father Henry who moved to the Potteries around the 1850 period. Any info would be gratefully received.
