    3. Norman: I have the 1851 Census for North Staffs and the only parish listed that is close is Tattenhill. If you think that might be it, let me know and I will look. The website www.mycensuses.com has a link to the PRO website for all the census. If you input the HO number (ie. HO 107/1999) you will get a list of places. (Staffs is HO 107/1999 to HO 107/2033) Then you will know what part of the census Tettenhall is in and you can specifically order that part at your FHC (or at the website above which has the entire census on CD for $55 CDN). I have also ordered the 1851 surname index, but it will be a month or so before it arrives. The Staffordshire Lookup Exchange http://freespace.virgin.net/willen.hall/sts.html has a volunteer who already has the index, so you could ask him. Hope this helps!
