Norman, I have got Tettenhall on the 1851 I will not be able to look today but I will look for you tomorrow. The area is HO107/2017. Jean
Hi all I have found my greatgrandfather on 1901 census living with his daughter at Maccaroni cottages, civil borough Burslem, ecclesiastical parish Cobridge, parliamentary borough Hanley ref is RG13/2596/20/31 sch 165 My question is - Where are / were Maccaroni Cottages? OR How can I do a next door neighbour search on line until I find a street name I recognise on a map? I have searched old maps of the area without luck - do I look the Cobridge side of Burslem or the Hanley side? Any helpful suggestions gratefully received to solve a mystery that is bugging both me and my father. He thinks it may have canal side or Middleport connections (from childhood memory thats fast fading) but that seems out of the area suggested above.
