Someone on this list very kindly found William H. WILDIN for me on the 1891 census, but as he was in the workhouse there was no sign of Catherine Minnie. Which Workhouse would that be ? Stoke or Chell ? Or somewhere else ? You could check to see what the workhouse records say - When she married in 1874, she was living with the family of Charles LEESE who she married. Where was that ? Have you checked that address on the 1881 ? The 1881 census is not gospel - and you should always check info found in there against the original fiche . As you know the quarter she was born in then if you write to the Stoke Registrar they will send you a birth cert for ?7 From that you will get his exact name, mothers name and maiden name and place of residence .
