Hi List, My cousin has in her posession an embroidered Sampler, given to her by our grandmother some years ago. It was said to have been given to our grandmother by her grandmother. The inscription on the sampler is: "Maryan Bywater Age 7 years, 1838". We have been unable to trace Maryan, and wonder whether anyone can help?? TIA Keith in N.Z.
