hello all, Can someone tell me where I might look for records relating to Doultons of Burslem, presuming such things exist in the public domain. I am particularly interested in those who might have worked for them, or been related to them. Specifically with the surname LEIGHS. Thanks. Vicki Turner
Royal Doulton is very familiar to me. My father George CLEWS worked there as a production manager. It is in Nile Street BurslemHe worked there from 1924 to 1958. He died at age 51 in 1958. I have copy of the Sentinel article at the timeof his funeral and it lists many of the people there. The managing director was J.K.Warrington. I skimmed it for LEIGHS but didn't find any. What time period are you looking at? They do have a website and I've looked at it but obviously it's mostly promotional. I think you'd find it easily with a search engine I don't seem to have it at my fingertips.
