It seems so, from my understanding now the " Abbey " was somewhere around the area of the junction of Greasley Road and Werrington Road. Very near to Newhouse Road which I always understood to be in Abbey Hulton. I quess Werrington Road was the perhaps the " border " between Bucknall and Abbey Hulton ?
