Hi list, recently got hold of a birth certificate for a John Weston Born January 1853 at 30 The Abbey, Bucknall. Would " 30 " be the house number ? And does anyone know where " The Abbey " would be in Bucknall ? I was brought up near to Bucknall and I've never heard of it. There is some reference to it on the 1851 census but the house numbers don't go up to 30, if indeed 30 is refering to the house number. John Westons father is named as John Weston and his mother is Sarah Weston fomerly Sheldon, anyone have any connections with Sheldons I wonder ?. I do not have the name index for the 1851 census asyet so I can't find Sarah Sheldon, of course she may have been married to John Weston at this time.
