Hi Les, I too am researching Hall & Knapper in Staffs. My g g grandfather Samuel Knapper married Mary Ann Child on 30 July 1855 at St Peters, Stoke on Trent. Samuel's father was listed as Samuel Filders on the m c, and they then took Hall, or Knapper Hall as their surname, my g grandmother was Eliza Knapper Hall. Hope that these may ring a bell??
