Dear June, I have a Jane Garner who was the daughter of John Garner b1827, I do not have any prior ancestors. John married Elizabeth Bennett from Lilleshall. John and his family are in the Potteries and Jane married my ggrandfather and they lived in Tunstall. Their son Josiah 1790-1858 married Maria Middlemore Garner daughter of Robert Garner & Elizabeth Middlemore who one report said was his cousin. If they were first cousins Robert (from whom I am descended) and Sarah would have to be brother and sister and although I can find serveral siblings for Robert there is no Sarah among them. the only Sarah Garner I can find was christened in 1859 in Trentham daughter of William & Sarah.
