Earl I note in your list of names HALLAM! In my husband's WOOLFE Tree a Gertrude CHARLES married a James HALLAM - from whence I know not- though family rumour says he was a gent - certainly very wealthy - they emigrated to NZ c 1906, but returned every 2 years for a trip home - Briefly - that part of the WOOLFE Family came from Audley/ Standon- but there were links to The Potteries from early in 19th century and later. Gertrude's Mother was Mary Anne WOOLFE b c 1850 of Standon who married c 1870 Daniel CHARLES, a Lawyer, and moved to York YKS, Daniel died and the family returned to Standon, and resided with Thomas WOOLFE at Standon Hall, by 1881 Census. Any connections possible ??
