My great grandfather, Edwin CLARKE, was born in Longport, Staffs about 1837. He became a Primitive Methodist minister and hence moved a lot, but I have no idea if he was born a Methodist. I have not been able to trace either his birth or his marriage. His wife was Letitia ???, born about 1839 in Ashford Hill, Hants. Their first daughter, Letitia H. Clarke born in Poplar Middlesex about 1868. I would appreciate suggestions of how to proceed. Thanks Les Blues West Vancouver, BC Canada.
Have a look at the 1881 GB Census for Penzance, Cornwall. Your young Letitia is age 13 years and has more siblings.
