    2. Hi All, I am new to the list and posting my interests, particularly The above surnames COLCLOUGH and MANSALL / MANSELL from the Longton area mainly in Stoke on Trent. Joseph MANSALL married Eliza COLCLOUGH 1854 ((My gt gt gt grandparents)(Longton)(both fathers called Joseph Son: Martin James MANSALL b. 1855 (Longton) (my Gt gt grandfather) M. Annie Maria Wain Jones 1875 (Caverswall) Children: Isabella b.1876 Agnes Elizabeth Colclough b.1877 THEN. Martin moved to Glasgow as a journeyman potter....moved in with my gt gt grandmother Jane McCOWAT...They had 5 illegitimate children including twins (one of whom Eliza Colclough Mansall was my gt grandmother. he then flitted every 10 years backwards and forwards from wife to non legal scottish wife, so that in each census he is in a different country!!! After he was supposed to have died I found him in England back with the wife, living with one legitimate daughter...and one scottish Illegitimate son!!!! If anyone can help or have connections with the above surnames, I would love to know. I have the 1841 census for Staffordshire and am happy to do look-ups to help. Cheers Dawn (From Sunny (Amazing!! Leeds ;o)) )

    3. Hi Dawn A late response but do you know that there are dozens of Colcloughs on the 1891 Staffordshire census? I have looked at the Hanley, Brieryhurst (Kidsgrove), Halmer End and Wolstanton areas so far looking for my ancestors and have seen many Colcloughs.
