    3. Hi Joyce, You send to Southport office in Merseyside. Each cert. is now £8.50 I believe. First though go back to BMD and find the reference number or they will charge you more for searching. Wolstanton covers a large area. My relatives were listed as Wolstanton and they turned up in Tunstall! Regards Jean. ----- Original Message ----- From: "MICHAEL JONES" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2003 10:31 AM Subject: [Pots] Record Office > Hi, > I wonder if someone could help me please. > I have just found my Great-grandfather and Great-grandmothers marriage on the B M D > June quarter 1878 in Wolstanton. > What I want to know is what Registry Office > do I send to, to get this certificate. > Hope someone can help. > > Regards. 3. Hi Joyce, The first thing to check is:- www.staffordshirebmd.org.uk as all marriages held by Newcastle Reg Office are on the database that will eliminate the Newcastle part of the Wolstanton parish. If you have no luck with the search it will almost certainly be at S-o-T (Hanley) Reg Office. Now as Hanley Reg Office holds the registers for over 300 churches/chapels etc. they will not do wide location searches (unless you can pin the marriage down to a specific venue) and may well return your request. We have an eager bunch of people working on the S-o-T Reg Office indexes at the moment but it will be a while before they are added to the database, it includes a large number of the Wolstanton district churches (about 15 to 20). If it was me, I would send to the ONS for the certificate. Regards - Eric ----- Original Message ----- From: "MICHAEL JONES" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2003 10:31 AM Subject: [Pots] Record Office > Hi, > I wonder if someone could help me please. > I have just found my Great-grandfather and Great-grandmothers marriage on the B M D > June quarter 1878 in Wolstanton. > What I want to know is what Registry Office > do I send to, to get this certificate. > Hope someone can help. > > Regards.
