List Is there anyone on the list who is knowledgeable about nonconformist churches in the potteries in the mid 1800s? My Webb family had several children in Newchapel between 1855 and 1865 and I have not been able to locate their christening records. I know that they were Methodists. Would anyone know what Methodist churches were near Newchapel in that time period? Tom
Hi Tom, Wish I had the answer for you, I don't know much about this at all...but I was curious about your Webb's......I am also researching Webb's in the Newchapel area. Emma Webb married Edwin Onions 1863...her father was Samuel, according to the LDS her mother was Mary? Most all of my husbands family was baptized at Newchapel Church.
