Hi Marilyn, In the 1901 census there is a John MINSHULL aged 42 in Stafford Prison. 1901 census His Majesty's Prison, Stafford, Staffordshire RG13/2572 Fol 164 p14 John MINSHULL, Prisoner, Married, 42, Stoker at Blast furnaces, Chester Chester Cheers, Louise
Thank you Louise - I will keep collecting all these references until I get the right one - I wonder what he was in prison for? It would be great if it was Bigamy, as this is when he was found out! (His first wife turned up eatrly 1902, complete with 5 children!)
