Hi Barbara, I too have Nixons and variations in my tree, in fact two lines which came together and married in Rushton Spencer in about 1707. One line was from Macclesfield, (1660), the other from Rushton Spencer, (1500). They ended up in Tunstall and Chell. Regards, Keith
