Directory of West Midlands newspapers online Details of all known newspaper titles in the West Midlands region (including Shropshire, Staffordshire, Herefordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire) are now available online at www.newsplan.co.uk, together with existing information on titles published in London and the South-East. Covering some 1100 West Midlands titles dating back to the 17th century, it is possible to search by title, place and date of publication and find out where copies of titles are held. The digitisation of this information, previously available only as a printed directory, has been made possible as a result of funding from the British Library and the Laser Foundation.
