Hi Listers, Further to my query earlier this week as to the whereabouts of St. Luke's Church, Dresden, I visited the Archives today and found my Grandmothers christening, plus a whole load of her family. They must have all been "done" together as a job lot!! (lol). When I went to the local chip shop in Dresden, the owner in there told me exactly where St. Luke's had been situated, half way down Cromartie street, just as Diana mentioned. Thanks again Diana. The owner also said that worship was going on there until the mid '60's she thought, and what interested me most was that the Cross from St. Luke's was now inside The Church of the Resurrection, also in Dresden. I thought I would like to let folks know that a query on here, often leads to a result, as in this case. I had been searching for my Grandmothers christening for three years prior to this recent information gleaned from the kind listers. Keep trying! Regards, Jean.
