    3. Hi Linda Thanks for your email. Yes its me researching the Bloor family - I havn't got much information at all - as this is my husband's family history and I've only just started researching that side of the family. The following is the only information I have - On 23 September 1850, at Hanley Chapel, John JACKSON married Ann BLOOR. John was a Brickmaker and was living at Well Street at the time of marriage and his father was Hamlet JACKSON, a Brick maker. Ann BLOOR was living at Bucknall New Road and her father was Hamlet BLOOR, a Potter. They were both of "full age". Witnesses were John and Mary Bath. Their son John Jackson was born on 23 August 1860 when they were living at 99 Hotlane, Burslem. John Jackson (junior) is the Grandfather of my husband, Barry Jackson. I only have the above wedding certificate and the birth certificate of John Jackson jnr. I did find a few possibilities on the IGI I have been unable to find them on anything else. I've trawled through sections of the 1861 Census for Burslem - Doncaster FHS have the CDs but not the index - its an appalling copy too! That's why I put out the request to see if any one had the index or the 1851. The lady who suggested the Bloor Society also has Bloors in her research. I have had a brief look at the Bloor Society website, but not had much chance yet to follow that up. But I do intend to send off for information. My web page for the Jackson family has the details: http://www.hilarymaryjackson.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Jackson.htm I will save your information and get in touch if I discover anything further, its close enough to wonder if there may be a connection.
