Dear List, subsequent to my interest post earlier today. I am really keen to break down a brick wall on my great grandfather, William Parr who was born about 1858. He married Mary Jane Pickering or Pickerill. Unfortunately there are a couple of Williams born at the same time and I am at my wits end trying to pin down which one he is. Any advice would be very gratefully received. Hopefully that would not be an equally common name and there are three Williams with a James for a father. Also the census, 1861, 1871 and maybe even 1881 would place William in his family and give a father's name. All to be compared with the marriage certificate for address and names. Esther
