A big thank you to David Moore, Gemma Heath and Jim Rushton for their help. The consensus of opinion is that Halmaford is, in fact, Halmerend. Thanks again. I have the following information: Dec 1865 Marriage of Thomas JONES, age 20, of Hope Street, Tunstall, father Henry JONES to Eliza WALKER, age 22, of Tunstall, father Thomas WALKER, deceased. Jan 1872 Birth of Elizabeth (sister to Sarah Ann) to Thomas and Eliza JONESof 23 Windmill Street, Hanley. Would SKS be able to look for the family on the 1871 census at Windmill Street and also on the 1861 for Thomas JONESage 16 and Eliza WALKER age 18, Eliza probably had a brother Thomas who was a witness at her marriage. I had more or less given up hope of making progress on the Jones family but look forward now to some help which will be gratefully received and much appreciated. Best wishes to all, David Binns, Tyneside

Hi Jacqui, I live at Goldenhill and my Aunty used to look after her next door neighbour Mrs. Frances Bollington. Her husband was Archibald Bollington, Coal Merchant. Also my family name is Cooper but as yet I haven't discovered a William for that period. Hope this helps. I am trying to find any information available for Edith Boote. The only details that I have is that she was born circa 1891 at Goldenhill, Stoke on Trent. She married William Cooper from Tunstall. When she met William she was working as a Sponger at the Wedgwood factory, High Gate, Tunstall. William was working as a Plate Maker at the same factory. Her mother may have been named Frances. Edith died about 1945 at Longport. I understand that Edith had a sister Lily who kept or worked in a sweet shop in High Street, Goldenhill. Also, another sister who married a Coal Merchant named Bollington from Goldenhill. I have searched Birth and Marriage records for this lady without success, maybe a fellow lister has the missing link that I am looking for. Hi Lists, MSN and Hotmail accounts are still bouncing despite an assurance from them to Rootsweb Admins that a fix was in place. I can't do anything at all about it, three bounced mails and one is auto-unsubbed. Even if I resub someone manually, they'll auto-unsub again after three bounces. I've written to a number of bounced subscribers to inform them of what's happened and got the following very unhelpful reply!!!! BTW the mails were sent over 24 hours ago, this has just been received! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> -----Original Message----- From: postmaster@mail.hotmail.com [mailto:postmaster@mail.hotmail.com] Sent: 27 February 2003 11:38 To: d.ogden@blueyonder.co.uk Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Delay) This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification. I am trying to trace the origins of my Greatgrandfather Thomas Henry Wooller who lived in Richmond Surrey in the early 1900's. As there are no local candidates, I am trying to trace what happened to all the Thomas WOOLLER/WOOLER's of right age, in the 1881 and 1901 census. There are only half a dozen or so.
