Ruth I believe Grett's Green refers to Garratts Green in Birmingham, West Midlands. This would make sense as Rowley Regis is a parish on the outskirts of Birmingham. Hope this helps a little, Ray

Fanny is most often the nickname for Frances. But Hannah/ Anna/ Anne are all basically the same name and sometimes interchangeable. I was known as Anne-Fan by some of my family as a child - so I guess it is possible!
