Hi again Michelle - The notice you were looking for was published in the Echo of Thursday December 30th. There were in fact two separate entries, from different family groups. You will no doubr find them on the Echo's web site, but if you'd like a scanned copy of the entries as printed I'll happily do that for you and attach it to an e-mail. As for family history clues, the first says: = CHAMMEN Marjorie Late of Howard Close Passed away suddenly on December 25th 2004 A much loved mother of Sheila, nan of Kevin and Sue Great grandmother of Ben, Rebekah and Amber ... plus funeral details, Jan 6 at Southampton Crematorium == The other says: = CHAMMEN Marjorie Evelyn (nee ROOD) Died Christmas Day 2004, aged 95 Mother of Julie, nan of Jane, Mary and Julie, great grandma of Laura and Robin ================ Tell me if you'd like the scan, so you won't think it an apparently unsolicited one! Cheers, Dave Jacobs ====================================================== Hi Michelle I realised that you wanted a copy of the death announcement in the local paper, and as we get the Echo every day I was going to look out for it. You will realise that there has been no paper over Chrstmas, and the office will only have opened today (if then, I'm not sure if there's a paper today as Mon and Tues are supposedly Bank holidays in lieu of Christmas Day and Boxing Day). Even when the family get round to it, and not everybody does, it may take a couple of days more to work through the backlog. Anyway, as Tony has pointed out, you can look at the daily announcements for yourself, so here's hoping there's a lot of genealogical info in it when it comes.
