    3. Hi Steve I imagine your John Walter<1880> and John Walter<1881> are the same person, and you just did that to confuse us! You could ask Southampton Archives if the baptisms of these children are in their card index, and also the marriage(s) of John senior. It also sounds as though you should consider getting the birth certificate for John Walter, if he is your direct ancestor. Good hunting, Dave Jacobs ==================== At 03:01 06/01/2005, hillier@emerge.net.au wrote: >John Walter BARTLETT b <1880> d Mar 1948 John W was a merchant seaman, in >1947, >he was living in the retired sailors hostel, in Southampton somewhere. >John Walter b <1881> married on 21 Oct 1905 to a Charlotte COOK b 1884 >John Walter, father was also John Walter and his mother is a Emma > >Children from John Walter & Emma >Thomas = 1864 another marriage I think >Harriet = 1873 >Blanch = 1874 >Lilian = 1878 >Rose = 1879 >John W 1880 > >Taken from the 1881 census > > >Cheers > >Steve > > > > > > > >============================== >New!
