Hi Anne It is possible you could locate this family in every census from 1841, if you haven't done so already. See my earlier note on using Southampton Local Studies library for this, and also for directories. They might also have some information on local businesses such as John Porter's ironmongers. By all means get back to the list if you'e done this already, or get stuck again.
