Dear Listers I have been on the Southampton list for a couple of weeks now and have received very few list e-mails. Am I not receiving them for some reason or is this just a very quiet list? Is anyone able to tell me of a more active list for Hampshire where I might be able to get some help with directories or electoral rolls for the Southampton area. I would very much like some help with who was living at 236 Southampton Rd, Eastleigh c1904 and "Roydon" Southampton on the c1914. Hi Sue In the 1914-15 Kellys for Southampton 236 Southampton Road Eastleigh was occupied by Edward HARRIS "Roydon" is a house name and I am sure I have seen that somewhere but without a street name there is nothing anyone can do to give you more information. The list has been quiet for a while, this is probably down to the bank holidays we have just had and the fine weather that WAS here and caused everybody to emigrate to the beach!! We find the same on our own list Hampshire Life especially this time of year as people start going away for their holidays. Hampshire is another list that is strictly for genealogy only and the other list is ENG-HAMPSHIRE but I belive this one is also quiet. The ENG-SOUTHAMPTON list is solely for people researching in the city and its suburbs.
