I had been thinking of visiting my family in Southampton in June and had hoped I might make a visit to the archives. When I visited the website this weekend I found out they will be closed from 1st June until about mid July. Just thought I would remind anyone who intends to visit from a distance to check the places they want to visit will be open beforehand particularly as many archives are in cramped conditions and closure may be needed to move to improved facilities.
