I would like to send a big thank you to listers who have recommended contacting Southampton Bereavement Services. I e-mailed them in the wee small hours yesterday, and received a very helpful reply today. This is their response to my query about John James HART, and you can see how much detail it contains. "John James Hart and Mary Ann Hart (presumably his wife) were buried in grave A8/276 at Hollybrook Cemetery Southampton. There is a headstone and kerbset on the grave. The details are: John James Hart, buried aged 74 on 02/08/1927. He died on 28/07/1927 at 'Rosedale' Harcourt Road, Mary Ann Hart, buried aged 86 on 28/09/1946. She died on 25/09/1946 at North Lodge, Efford Park, Everton near Lymington, Hants. Home address as above." Unfortunately, it still leaves me in the dark as to John James HART's date and place of birth, and he does not appear on 1837online. I would definitely recommend contacting Southampton Bereavement Services if you would like information on an ancestor's grave. At least I now have a family grave to visit when I travel to England later this year. Judy Mills, Toronto --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
