According to the 1861 census, Charles was b 1838 in Pitminster, Somerset, Sarah was from Getley Gross, Wales, and Elizabeth was b. Wellington, Somerset.,,,, Thank you for your helpful reply, I'll have a good look at the records you've sent, certainly gives me some leads. You said " In the 1851 for Wales there is a Charles Blackmore , relative, aged 11, labourer, b Pitminster, living in Bridge St , St John Cardiff, he is living with John Rich". And also..."Pitminster bapts are online via genuki/somerset but there is no bapt for Charles c 1838-40". You said "There are two births in the early BMD registers, and probably Charles b in the Wellington district , March 1/4 1840 is him", would that be the most likely Parish for Pitminster ?
