Hi, if you go to FreeBMD you will find that there is an Informatiion icon , if you click on that you will get several paragraphs and under Statistics is Districts , if you click on Districts you will find all the parishes and the dates . Pitminster comes under the Taunton district but the system only started in Sept 1/4 of 1837 and things were a little fluid for the first few years . Good evening Elizabeth, Thanks for your help once again with parishes, I know that Charles Blackmore was in NZ in 1874 so I can eliminate any of that name/age/from S'set.and Devon in the 1881 census, so to work.....
