Hi everyone, As we seem to be on the topic of parish record today I wonder if anyone could shed some light on the availability or existence of baptism records for Combe St Nicholas. My dead end here is approximately 1800. The Marriage registers seem to be accessible but not the baptisms and burials for the late decades of 1700's and early two decades of 1800's. Were some of the parish records destroyed or just not filmed or transcribed? I am interested in information or detail about the records for this parish regarding any or all time periods. Any help is most welcome. My surnames for the parish of Combe St Nicholas are PLAYER and BETTY. Surnames in other areas of Somerset: St Decuman - PEPPIN and THORN Bishop's Hull and locale: CROCKER (Forever grateful to Martin Southwood & www.wsom.org.uk for these wonderful transcribed records!) All the best to everyone on the list. Regards, Jenny
