The Somerset RO catalogue is the first place to look for such questions. http://www1.somerset.gov.uk/archives/ Search for Combe St Nicholas Parish Records or for the reference D\P\com.n/2/1 Click on the individual register references to get details of their contents. The only gap in the first register appears to be 1718-1719, otherwise it covers Baptisms and Burials 1678-1797. The second has them 1798-1812 and the fifth and seventh 1813 onwards. It would seem the registers have just not been transcribed yet. They have been filmed and you can view the microfilm at an LDS Family History Centre or buy microfiche copies from the Somerset Heritage Centre. If you would lend the microfiches to FreeREG for transcription - or even transcribe them for FreeREG yourself - then you could buy them through us. We get a slightly better rate by buying large batches with a single handling charge. -- David Hartley
